Due to the current circumstances in Zims we are going to be doing – DOUBLE FOOD PARCELS EVERY 2,5 MONTHS this year. This means that we will be delivering 10 boxes this years. Almost a box a month. In previous years it has been 6 boxes a year and then last year we migrated to 8 for the year.
One pensioner at Boggies Trust in Gweru described what we are doing as “ CHRISTANITY IN ACTION”. It’s that time of the year again and we at the ZPSF would like to be able to make the upcoming Christmas of 2019 extra special for our pensioners. As a Fund we rely solely on donations to do what we do. We receive no funding from any Government organization.
We are in the last stretch before I leave with my other half (Johan Schultz) to go to Zimbabwe for my annual wellness check at all the Homes to see how things are going. This gives me the opportunity to check on special needs / meds requirements. I will also be sorting out the final details for the Solar kits to be distributed shortly all around Zimbabwe to the homes. We have only 95 of the 730 kits that still need to be sponsored, I am speechless and sitting here with tears in my eyes. You are all truly amazing, THANK YOU!!!!.
Time is flying, so I am challenging everyone out there to try and make a contribution, no matter how small, it makes a difference. We are busy working like crazy preparing for our Easter trip and we are looking to make it as special as possible especially in light of what has gone on the past few months. So guys I am counting on your generosity and continued support to help me make this a reality for them. Good morning from a lovely wet Malelane, we are extremely grateful for the past 2 days rain. Hannes has been busy with collecting some of our bulk stock purchases from Nelspruit, while I have been doing the final odds and ends making sure everything is 100% for the Accountant and our year end. In between all of this we have been busy preparing for our next trip scheduled to take place shortly at the end of March / beginning April 2018, Russel Johnson will be doing his first solo trip for the fund and we are wishing him safe travels. On this trip Hannes will also be submitting all the paperwork for our next stock uptake.
You our supporters and donors keep our wheels turning. A big thank you to our monthly donors, it is a relief to know that we can count on you. To our once-off and anonymous donor’s thank you, your open hearts continue to amaze us!
