Please find in good order our 3 June 2025, yes that’s right 3, Trip reports and what we are up to currently as you will see there is tons happening as usual. The June round trip on the UD 90 truck was done by Johan & Frans Schultz on the truck while Caroline. Angela and Ron Heiden were on the Bakkie for Bulawayo and surround deliveries. Thank you to the team on the ground who make sure the “Magic” gets packed and delivered. A big thank you to Ron Heiden for stepping in last minute to assist us. I hope you enjoy reading the trip reports and going along for the drive with the team.
On our June trip we also delivered all the sponsored battery packs to our Golden Oldies. This was a huge success and resulted in many thank you messages and tears, as they really are a life saver for many during the current power outages being experienced in Zimbabwe. So from my side personally I would like to thank everyone who helped to empower our Golden Oldies and to our anonymous donor who covered the balance you are all lifesavers. You brought some early MAGIC to our Golden Oldies. I must also add that all the knitted goods donated that we distributed were also gratefully accepted and, in most cases, instantly put to good use. So again a big thank you to all who donated knitted items your time and effort are appreciated. Another Thank you also needs to go to Patty Bristow who donated 50 pockets of oranges which were distributed to our delighted oldies. A perfect vitamin C boost when needed.
We are hectically busy with the final preparation for our last of the 2 Winter trips. We are doing an import on Non-Consumables on a letter of Rebate, it’s been a while since we did this and I have definitely had a few sleepless nights. Thankfully we are making good progress, this just means the drivers will have a much longer border crossing on the next trip. We are once again planning to bulk up the boxes as much as possible with warm nourishing meals. For those wanting to donate a few extra pennies feel free, we are definitely putting them to good use. As always, it’s difficult with finding suppliers who are able and willing to assist us in the quantities we need. So please if anyone has contacts feel free to share them with us. All our homes with medical care facilities have sent through their wish lists for medicines for the upcoming trip. It’s a scary list but with the current Covid and seriously bad Flu going round our oldies need all the booster and help they can get.
On another note, believe it or not we are also busy with the start of our Christmas trip preparations. So, any ideas and suggestions please send them through. This is a time of year where we doo our best to spoil our Golden Oldies.

ZPSF-USA Seeks New Executive Volunteers Before 31 August 2025. If you have administrative experience and would be interested in assisting ZPSF-USA in maintaining its charitable program, please contact Linda Schultz in South Africa and she will put you in contact with Caron. Ideally, our new executive volunteers will be well organized and detail-oriented individuals, and passionate about helping our precious Golden Oldies as they struggle to make ends meet. I would not like to jump the gun on closing the USA branch of the ZPSF down and loose the Tax Deductible Receipts we can currently issue. However If we don’t find suitable candidates then we will have to revert to only WISE and PayPal SA.
We are an officially registered Non-Profit Organization and Section 21A in South Africa and are registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organization in terms of section 18A the Income Tax Act (Which means all South African donations are issued with a Tax Certificate and can be claimed back). PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE A TAX CERTIFICATE STATING ALL YOU DONATIONS. They will be issued once our Financial Year End has been processed, so from about mid-April 2025.
